This is a great opportunity for an experienced Commercial Vehicle Body Repairer to join a well-established business and become part of a busy workshop team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out repairs to a wide range of commercial vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with current health, safety and environmental regulations.
The Role
- As a Commercial Vehicle Body Repairer, your responsibilities will include:
- Stripping down various types of commercial vehicles, which may involve working in confined spaces.
- Carrying out repairs to all types of commercial vehicles.
- Replacing damaged panels and making good repairs to damaged areas.
- Completing quality control checks on your own work.
- Assisting other departments when required, including lifting panelled sides, roofs and other heavy components.
- Safely disposing of old panels and packaging.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and hazard-free working environment.
- Working at height and safely lifting heavy items where required.
- Following all current Health & Safety and EPA legislation.
- Using the correct PPE at all times.
- Ensuring all materials are used in accordance with the relevant data sheets.
- Carrying out any other reasonable ad hoc duties as directed by the Workshop Controller.
- The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience in commercial vehicle body repair or a similar role.
You will need to be comfortable working with a range of commercial vehicles and carrying out physical work, including working at height, in confined spaces and handling heavy components.
A strong focus on quality, safety and attention to detail is essential, along with the ability to work effectively as part of a wider workshop team.
