We are a well-established, independent garage in the Ashford / Canterbury area, steadily expanding, with a friendly team of 8 technicians. Overtime is available at a 1.5x rate.
An independent commercial workshop is looking to add another experienced technician to the team. The work is anything but repetitive – PSV vehicles, coaches, horse boxes and plenty of other specialist jobs come through the doors. The role requires a capable all‑round technician comfortable with diagnostics, repairs, inspections and MOT preparation across a wide range of vehicles.
Responsibilities- Carry out diagnostics and fault finding
- Complete servicing, maintenance and repair work
- Conduct vehicle inspections
- Prepare vehicles for MOT
- Work across a variety of commercial and specialist vehicles
- Maintain a high standard of work in a busy workshop environment
- Experience as a Commercial Vehicle, PSV or HGV Technician
- Comfortable with diagnostics and repair work
- Ability to work across different vehicle types
- MOT prep experience preferred
- Reliable and able to work independently
- £44,000 - £49,000 basic salary, £48,000 - £54,000 with Saturday overtime
- Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:30pm, 1-in-2 Saturdays 8:00am - 2:00pm paid at 1.5x overtime
- 21 days holiday plus bank holidays
- 1 free MOT per year
- 8‑technician workshop
- TEXA, STAR, OSCAR and other diagnostic systems provided
