An opportunity has become available for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a highly respected specialist workshop in Ashford, known for its high standards, technical ability, and varied workload.
This is not a fast-fit environment or a workshop built around volume over quality. The business has built an excellent reputation for specialist vehicle repairs, servicing, restoration work, and problem-solving across multiple marques, with technicians working on everything from modern performance vehicles through to classic cars and specialist projects.
The workshop itself is Mercedes-approved, but the day-to-day work is far more varied than most dealer environments. One day could involve routine servicing and repairs, the next could involve fault finding on a performance vehicle or mechanical work on a classic car project. It’s an environment where experienced technicians can use their skillset across a wide range of jobs rather than being restricted to repetitive work.
The successful candidate will join an experienced team of six technicians in a well-equipped workshop and will have their own dedicated ramp from day one.
Responsibilities- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs across a variety of vehicle marques
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults and basic electrical issues
- Complete work to a consistently high standard
- Conduct inspections and identify additional repair requirements where appropriate
- Work alongside experienced technicians within a busy workshop environment
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working area
- Strong all-round vehicle technician experience is essential
- Confident carrying out repairs and servicing independently
- Good fault-finding and diagnostic ability
- Experience across multiple vehicle brands preferred
- Professional attitude and pride in workmanship
- Full UK driving licence
- Up to £38,000 DOE
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (4:30pm finish Friday)
