A long-established, well-respected independent workshop is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a stable, long-term opportunity within a business known for its quality workmanship and loyal customer base. The site handles a varied mix of cars, vans and small minibuses, offering a hands-on role with plenty of variety and no weekend work.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out diagnostics, servicing and general repairs across a range of vehicles
  • Perform electrical fault-finding and diagnostic testing
  • Complete mechanical work including clutches, cambelts, timing chains, brakes, tyres and exhausts
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
  • Assist with MOT testing where qualified (beneficial but not essential)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ workshop experience
  • Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
  • Strong diagnostic and electrical abilities
  • Confident working independently within a traditional, hands-on environment
  • Full UK driving licence

Salary and Benefits

  • £36,000–£45,000 per year, dependent on experience
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm (no weekends)
  • Supportive team environment
