We're currently looking for an experienced Workshop Controller to join a busy independent garage.
This is a key role within the business, responsible for keeping the workshop organised, managing the team and making sure the day-to-day operation runs smoothly.
You don't need to be mechanically hands-on for this position, but strong workshop knowledge and excellent organisational and managerial skills are important.
The role:
- Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm
- 1 Saturday per month may be required
- Up to £45,000 basic depending on experience
- Managing and organising the workshop team
- Controlling the daily workload and job flow
- Ensuring jobs are progressed efficiently and on time
- Liaising with customers and keeping them updated
- Overseeing workshop administration
- Using digital workshop systems
- Ensuring workshop records and processes are kept up to date
About you:
- Previous Workshop Controller or strong managerial experience within the motor trade
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident managing a team and taking control of a busy workshop
- Tech savvy and comfortable working with digital systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Able to prioritise workloads and keep things running efficiently
- A positive, direct and professional approach
