Ashwood House Private Nursing Home is looking to recruit an Activity Therapist. We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic and dedicated Activity Therapist to join our care home team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging activities tailored to residents' needs, promoting social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall wellbeing. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents through creative and personalised activity programmes.
Duties
- Develop and deliver a variety of therapeutic activities suitable for residents with diverse needs and abilities.
- Organise group sessions, one-to-one activities, and special events to foster social engagement and mental stimulation.
- Monitor and evaluate residents' participation and progress, adjusting activities as necessary.
- Collaborate with care staff to integrate activity programmes into daily routines effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of activity sessions, resident participation, and outcomes in accordance with organisational policies.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe, inclusive, and respectful manner, adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Due to the nature of this role, candidates must be aged 18 or over upon commencement of the role. NISCC registration must be applied for within three months. Experience desirable but not essential.
