We're not looking for “just another supervisor”. We’re looking for somebody who wants to help build something. Ashwood is a long-established family business now being driven forward by the next generation, and we’ve got big plans over the next few years. We’re building towards becoming one of the North East’s leading commercial grounds maintenance and landscaping companies, and we’re looking for the right person to come on that journey with us.

This role is perfect for:

  • A strong Team Leader ready for the next step
  • An existing Supervisor wanting more opportunity
  • Somebody who’s frustrated where they are and knows they’ve got more to offer

You’ll work directly with the Directors and play a huge part in shaping the future of the business. This isn’t a clipboard and hide in the van type role. We need somebody who:

  • Can build relationships with clients
  • Wants teams to improve
  • Wants to help modernise and grow a business
  • Isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up when needed

You’ll be involved in:

  • Managing day-to-day operations
  • Supporting and developing staff
  • Planning works and improving organisation
  • Quality inspections
  • Fleet and equipment management
  • Training and onboarding
  • Helping implement new systems and ways of working

Most importantly, this role has real progression. As the business grows, there will be opportunities above this role for the right person. We’re not looking for somebody to just fill a seat. We want somebody who can grow with the company and become a key part of where we’re heading. Commercial grounds maintenance experience is essential. Supervisory experience is preferred, but attitude, standards and leadership matter more to us than job titles. If you’re ambitious, organised, good with people and want to be part of building something properly, we’d like to hear from you.
