A well-established and highly regarded law firm in Surrey is seeking an experienced and proactive Legal Secretary to join the Private Client team at their Cranleigh office. In this role, you will primarily support a busy Senior Associate, while also assisting other members of the Private Client department. You’ll provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the team’s day-to-day operations. You should be confident liaising with clients and colleagues, well organised, able to prioritise your work load and happy to take the lead on tasks in order to best support your department and team.
Duties will include:
- Providing full secretarial support including using a digital dictation system to produce correspondence and other documentation related to Private Client matters.
- General team administration including photocopying, faxing, filing and scanning.
- Assistance with Receptionist duties which will include meeting and greeting clients, taking calls through the switchboard and directing enquiries.
- Drafting relevant legal documents.
- Arranging meeting room bookings/travel arrangements.
Desired skills and experience:
- Legal Secretary experience essential within Private Client at least 2 years + experience.
- Fast, accurate typing ability, ideally using digital audio systems and experience of using case management system.
