A highly respected Surrey-based law firm is seeking an experienced and proactive Legal Secretary to join their Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence team. This is an excellent opportunity to support busy fee earners within a friendly, professional, and well-established firm.
The Role
You will provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department. The role requires strong organisation, confidence when dealing with clients, and the ability to take initiative while managing a varied workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing full secretarial support, including audio typing, to produce documents such as letters, attendance notes, briefs and bills in a timely manner.
- Diary management and general administrative support to fee earners.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client files (both electronic and paper).
- Liaising professionally with clients, colleagues and third parties by phone and in person.
- Ensuring a consistently high level of client care and attention to detail.
Desired Skills
- Have previous legal secretarial experience ideally within PI / Clinical Negligence.
- At least 2 yearsβ experience.
- IT literate and experience audio typing.
- Experience in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience using case management systems.
