The practice isglobal, in the sense that we handle projects and offerings in EMEA,Asia and US.
There will be regular opportunities for secondments toleading investment banks. SPG is part of the broader Global Markets and Global Loans group -which includes Derivatives, Dept Capital Markets, Securitisation,Blockchain Capital Markets and Shari'ah products
- there areopportunities to work in these areas as well.
Globalk Markets, inturn, sits within the broader Finance division within Ashurst, whichincludes the Financial Regulatory, Global Loans, Restructurings andFunds groups. The OpportunityYou would typically act on all elements of a structured productsoffering or platform from instruction, through to closing andpost-closing.
Depending on your level of experience, your specificareas of responsibility will initially be to produce initial drafts ofagreements, draft and negotiate structured product documents andensure a smooth process to transaction close. You would also be expected to manage projects that have been assignedto you and liaise closely with colleagues, clients, counterparties andother advisers.
You would be expected to work with minimal supervisionand be confident to take the lead with client related matters.
Youwould be working as part of a committed and inspired friendly teamthat enjoys its work and considers itself a leader in its field ofpractice.
All members of the team have frequent client contact. Main Tasks: Drafting of legal documents and agreements;Review of legal documents and agreementsContributing to department know-how;Advising clients and giving client presentations;Leading negotiations with counterparts;This is a full-time, permanent position based in our London officewith hybrid working. About YouPost qualification experience in international financetransactions of the types referred to above, preferably structuredproducts (but debt capital markets and/or derivatives will suffice),with a reputable international law firm. Good organisational skills and experience in transaction management. Excellent academic track record.
