Ashurst Perkins Coie's growing SSTAR practice forms part of a wider structuredfinance team, as well as specialist across the firm and in ourinternational network.

We are sector agnostic, advisingborrowers, issuers, sponsors, asset managers, and credit funds inrespect of asset-backed financing solutions for a wide variety ofasset classes, including: Consumer credit (eg personal loans, credit cards, point of sale)Autos (auto loans, lease receivables,hire purchase, PCP and residual values)FintechSME lendingMortgages (bridging, BTL, development,second charge, HELOC and equity release)CREFund financeThe Opportunity: We are looking for someone with excellenttechnical ability coupled with a growth mindset and ability to applylearnings across transactions.

You will work primarily with partners inLondon who specialise in various types of structured financetransactions across different asset classes.

You can expect tolook at corporate lends, warehouses and private and publicsecuritisations, and various forms of mezzanine transactions. You will be willing to be flexible andshould be enthusiastic about working on new structures withpartner and team support.

The job offers exposure to multipledifferent clients, sectors, and associated financing techniques,and is an excellent platform for an entrepreneurial, ambitiousprivate credit lawyer.

Our clients demand a broad understanding ofthe financing landscape and our team's ability to look at diverseand innovative financing structures is key to its strength.

Inaddition to strong technical skills, you should be able todemonstrate an enthusiasm for business development and stronginterpersonal skills as there will be significant client contact,in both the work and business development context. The role will offer the opportunity towork with sponsors, debt investors, speciality finance corporates,banks and others. You would typically act on all elementsof a financing from structuring and term sheet stage, through toclosing and post-closing.

Your primary areas of responsibilitywill be to draft and negotiate / responsibility for securitydocuments, ancillary documents and depending on personalexperience and transaction complexity, intercreditor arrangementsand facilities agreements / debt instruments, ensuring a smoothprocess to transaction close.

We would also expect you tocontribute to the business development side of the business, whichcan take many different forms: know-how and market updates,entertainment, networks, and more.

The role will also involve workingclosely with other groups within Ashurst Perkins Coie , includingcorporate, restructuring, banking, financial regulatory and tax.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in our London office withhybrid working.
