The Global BD Lead – Financial Services Industry works with the Global Leader, Financial Services Industry and Leadership Team (comprising Regional Partner Heads and BD Senior Managers) to develop, implement and iterate the global strategy and engage and support the relevant Strategic Client Portfolio (SCP) and Priority Industry Client teams to drive adoption and implementation of the strategy.
This role manages overall coordination of the global Financial Services (“FS”) Industry Leadership Team, in collaboration with relevant BD, divisional/practice leadership and other business service stakeholders, to shape and deliver the strategic objectives of our firm’s global Financial Services industry strategy. The role also leads the FFR BD approach across EMEA and the US, supporting partners to drive market leadership and alignment between the FS and FFR strategies. This position is located in London and reports to the Markets & Growth Director, UK/ME/US.
Key responsibilities
- Develop the global strategy to grow our client portfolio and industry revenue across the whole FS space.
- Drive BD activity across the FFR Division and beyond, bringing all practices and regions into the industry opportunity for our firm.
- Shape and oversee the implementation of the wider global strategy, and drive specific elements of the strategy, as identified through the strategic planning process.
- Support the strategic planning and budgeting process across FS and FFR, ensuring alignment to the industry and firm strategy.
This is a full‑time role on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis, based in our London office with hybrid working.
About you
- 10+ years of experience in the professional services industry in a business development role.
- Deep experience across the Financial Services sector.
- Strategic thinker with strong focus on strategy development and implementation.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in major projects and/or initiatives.
- Proven track record of leading a team and cultivating a high‑performance culture.
- Commercial awareness and an innovative mindset for developing and evolving ways of working.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trusting relationships with partners and business services.
