The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Process Efficiency Lead to join our Ashurst Service Central (ASC) team in Glasgow during a significant period of transformation, as we prepare for a potential merger, implement a new enterprise management system, and build the foundations for global end‑to‑end services.
Description
The Process Efficiency Lead is a key people‑focused role within ASC. Its purpose is to guide, support and develop the Process Efficiency team, ensuring consistent, high‑quality delivery of continuous improvement, process optimisation and service implementation work across Business Services.
As we mature our global service catalogue, this role is responsible for turning service design decisions into practical, deliverable outcomes for the team. Working closely with the ASC leadership team, and in close collaboration with the Service Design Lead, you will ensure the team produces clear, simple and accurate process documentation, analysis, improvements and catalogue updates that support firm‑wide alignment.
This role plays a central part in bringing global service standards to life by coordinating workload, driving CI practices, coaching analysts, and ensuring the team delivers the right outputs at the right time. It requires a leader who enjoys developing people, managing change, and can bring structure and clarity to delivery.
This is a full‑time, permanent role based in our Glasgow office with hybrid working.

- Proven people leadership skills with a supportive, coaching style and experience developing team capability.
- Strong background in continuous improvement, process mapping and practical problem solving.
- Ability to build relationships with SMEs, service owners and influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience turning service design decisions into deliverable work, including process documentation, analysis and catalogue/taxonomy updates.
- Strong ability to simplify complex information into clear, structured, user‑friendly outputs and comms.
- Proficiency in JIRA, SharePoint, Visio and service management platforms (ServiceNow ideally).
- Lean / CI experience (Green Belt or equivalent) or demonstrable use of improvement tools and methods.
