The Global Sourcing & Procurement team supports operational functions across Ashurst's global office network, maximising the value of the firm's third-party spend and managing risk across its indirect supply base. Working alongside business stakeholders, the Office of General Counsel (OGC), and Risk & Compliance, the team ensures that all third-party expenditure is incurred in accordance with Ashurst's internal processes and risk appetite.

The Procurement Lead role is a permanent position within the team, reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager. You will be a hands-on procurement professional managing your own portfolio of categories and projects, while also acting as a trusted adviser to stakeholders across the business. This is a full-time, permanent role based in our Glasgow office with hybrid working.

We are interested in hearing from people who:

  • Have demonstrable experience in indirect procurement, ideally gained within professional services, corporate real estate, or a similar environment with a broad category remit.
  • Are procurement generalists, comfortable managing a varied portfolio spanning multiple spend categories and levels of complexity.
  • Possess strong commercial acumen, with proven ability in commercial and contractual negotiation.
  • Have excellent communication skills, and the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Have good understanding of contract management principles and are process-driven, with a focus on implementing repeatable and consistent approaches.
  • Are comfortable working across multiple projects with multiple stakeholders simultaneously, demonstrating strong initiative and a drive towards embedding best practice.
