The Opportunity:
Working within the Enterprise Architecture team, the purpose of the role is to proactively and holistically guide delivery teams through IT transformation and optimisation initiatives in support of the firm's strategy and desired outcomes. Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) architecture maturity, strategy development, design, documentation and dependency mapping. You will facilitate the implementation of the Ashurst Perkins Coie business strategy, projects and programmes of work. An understanding of the business, data, application, security, cloud, technology and digital architectures is required.

We are seeking a talented Enterprise Architect to join our team and contribute to the implementation of innovative solutions for implementation of our firm strategy. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role. You will also have a strong background in solutions architecture working across all domains. You will collaborate with clients both technical and business orientated to define requirements, create architectural designs, and oversee the successful implementation of solutions. You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. This role reports to the Principal Enterprise Architect and is a full-time permanent opportunity based in Glasgow with hybrid working.
Main responsibilities include:
- Facilitate alignment between the business and IT across the IT landscape
- Engage business and IT stakeholders, building and maintaining relationships and acting as a trusted advisor
- Interpret business goals and drivers, translate them into actionable IT roadmaps and support IT strategy development
- Analyse trends and disruptions, and assess the opportunity and impact on target business outcomes
- Ensure alignment between business capabilities, operating models and technology platforms
- Coach and mentor other architects and colleagues to instil architectural thinking
About you:
The successful candidate will have:
- TOGAF or Archimate qualified
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to act as a consultant to other departments
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal including active listening
- Ability to identify and analyse alternative approaches to dealing with issues and problems
- Confidence in dealing with various levels of the organisation both within Ashurst Perkins Coie IT and the business units, including executive management levels
