The Opportunity
We are recruiting for a creative and collaborative UX/UI designer to join the Digital Experience team within Advance Digital, in part to cover a 3 month period of parental leave within the current team. We are a supportive and tight knit team that is unafraid to push boundaries and deliver change. We have been investing in team growth in developers, designers and researchers over the past year, and our ambitious roadmap now requires us to grow our team of UX/UI designers in EMEA with a 6 month fixed term contract role.
Key responsibilities of the role include
- Conducting usability testing and workshops with internal and external users to understand pain points, needs and requirements;
- Interpreting and applying user needs / requirements to create intuitive, accessible, and effective designs and refine design system components;
- Designing wireframes, prototypes, visuals, storyboards and interactive high-fidelity mock-ups that bring product and solution ideas to life so that design concepts can be communicated, tested, iterated and built;
- Working within our existing digital design systems, and helping to further develop and maintain component libraries, patterns, interaction principles and design resources for use by Advance and the firm (including liaising with Brand, Marketing and Communications team to ensure consistent application of guidelines in a digital context);
- Working with development teams on configurable platforms, so wider teams have access to reusable components, including but not limited to Power Platforms, and maintaining an effective backlog;
This is a full-time, 6 Month FTC role based in our London or Glasgow office with hybrid working.

About you
The successful candidate will have:
- A degree and 3-5 years' experience in a UX/UI role either in-house or agency;
- A strong, shareable, portfolio that showcases your capability and experience and journey;
- Experience of and ease with working in agile product development teams;
- Expert and fluid user of design software and prototyping tools (we use Figma);
- Enthusiasm and excitement for AI, innovation, digital transformation, new design best practices and continual learning;
