The Opportunity
The Board Assistant provides dedicated governance, administrative and diary support, ensuring the smooth running of Board and Board Committee business. The role sits at the centre of the firm's governance framework at a pivotal time following the merger of Ashurst and Perkins Coie, supporting the Co-Chair in building an effective, well-run Board across a combined global partnership.
The role holder will work 35 hours per week, to be worked Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:30am and 5:30pm, with 1 hour for lunch each day. This is a demanding role requiring five days a week in office that may require flexibility around Board meeting cycles and to accommodate the firm's international footprint.
Key Responsibilities Of The Role Include
- Assist the Board Executive with the organisation of Board Meetings including in person and virtual arrangements such as room bookings, catering, AV support and people events such as Board and Partner dinners and Office Exchanges
- Diary management and lateral Partner interviews
- Assist with proofreading of correspondence, speeches and communications, including Board, partnership communications and sending emails on behalf of Co-Chairs
- Handle Board-related material with a high degree of confidentiality and discretion, including in relation to partnership and regulatory matters.
