The Bids & Pursuits team are enthusiastic and passionate business development professionals, unified by a common goal: to ensure we deliver excellence in winning work and generating profitable business for the firm.

The Senior Bids & Pursuits Executive will be an integral part of the Bids & Pursuits team, supporting the development of best practice bids in collaboration with the wider Clients, Markets and Growth (CMG) team, partners, clients and other stakeholders. Working directly with partners and key stakeholders across practice, industry and business services you will support the end-to-end development of high quality, distinctive and compelling client‐centred bids and pursuits. This is a full‐time, permanent role based in our London office with hybrid working.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Supporting and leading the bid and pursuit process to ensure best practice responses are developed for individual client requirements.
  • Managing end to end process for bids and pursuits from qualification to submissions, presentations and aftercare, including content management.
  • Working with fee‐earners and CMG colleagues to define the pursuit strategy with clear win themes for strategic opportunities.
  • Supporting pursuit client research, stakeholder briefings and reports on major and complex opportunities.
  • Leading the writing, reviewing, proof reading and amendment support to drafted content, for improved internal compliance.

About you

The successful candidate will have:

  • 5+ years' experience in a pursuit and bid role in legal, professional services or other relevant environments with a proven track record of winning strategic bids.
  • Experience of proposal writing and collaborating with SME stakeholders and other teams to deliver against pursuit requirements.
  • Experience supporting bid teams throughout the bid lifecycle, including critical meetings, presentations and commercial negotiations.
  • Strong work‐winning process knowledge, writing and project management skills; able to transform technical information into clear, compelling, succinct content for proposals to various audience types.
  • Excellent organisational skills; ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously, work to timescales and deadlines set by clients.
