Our Bids & Pursuits team are enthusiastic and passionate business development professionals, unified by a common goal: to ensure we deliver excellence in winning work and generating profitable business for the firm. You will be an integral part of the Bids & Pursuits team, and Financial Services Clients Markets & Growth (CMG) team, supporting the development of best practice bids in collaboration with the FS CMG team, partners, clients and other stakeholders.
Working directly with partners and key stakeholders across our Financial Services Industry and respective practices, you will support the end-to-end development of high-quality, distinctive and compelling client-centred bids and pursuits. This role will report to the Regional Head of Pursuits.
Key responsibilities
- Support and lead the bid and pursuit process to ensure best practice responses are developed for individual client requirements.
- Manage end-to-end process for bids and pursuits from qualification to submissions, presentations and aftercare, including content management.
- Work with fee-earners and CMG colleagues to define the pursuit strategy with clear win themes for strategic opportunities.
- Support pursuit client research, stakeholder briefings and reports on major and complex opportunities.
- Lead the writing, reviewing, proof reading and amendment support to drafted content, for improved internal compliance.
This is a full-time, permanent role based in our London office with hybrid working.
About you
- 5+ years' experience in a pursuit and bid role in legal, professional services or other relevant environments with a proven track record of winning strategic bids.
- Experience of proposal writing and collaborating with SME stakeholders and other teams to deliver against pursuit requirements.
- Experience supporting bid teams throughout the bid lifecycle, including critical meetings, presentations and commercial negotiations.
- Strong work-winning process knowledge, writing and project management skills; able to transform technical information into clear, compelling, succinct content for proposals to various audience types.
- Ability to identify client requirements and articulate benefits and win themes.
