We are seeking a driven and ambitious Solicitor to join our Family Law team in Norwich. This is a client-facing role offering an excellent opportunity for someone keen to establish themselves, build their practice and caseload and contribute to the growth of our Family team.
You will manage your own caseload independently, while also working alongside senior colleagues on more complex matters to support your development. You’ll be expected to use your initiative to actively progress cases and deliver high-quality legal services to our clients.
We’re looking for someone who is a confident networker and enthusiastic about business development, with a genuine interest in growing their profile and contributing to the firm’s success.
Key responsibilities- Conducting initial free consultations and providing clear, comprehensive legal advice
- Drafting legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence
- Advising on costs and preparing Letters of Engagement
- Managing client communications and queries
- Attending court hearings independently and in support of other lawyers
- Preparing bundles for hearings and conferences
- Booking counsel and other experts as required
- Managing disbursement funding and invoice processing
- Maintaining accurate client records and financial hygiene across matters
- Completing internal risk assessments and audits in a timely and accurate manner
You will have experience across the full range of family law matters, including Family Law Act proceedings. Some experience with pre- and post-nuptial agreements is desirable, but full training will be provided.
About YouIdeally, you will have a minimum of four years’ post-qualification experience in family law, gained within a similar legal environment. You’ll be client-focused, commercially aware and committed to delivering excellent service. Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset are essential.
