Specific Hours: Our core office hours are 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. Flexible working options can be discussed.
Responsibilities
- Dealing with day‑to‑day correspondence and telephone calls
- Meeting witnesses and preparing witness statements
- Reviewing evidence
- Preparing Schedules of Loss and other pleadings including court directions
- Liaising with experts and instructing legal counsel
- Taking instructions and advising clients on their cases
- Letter writing / drafting documents
- Considering evidence from different sources
- Assisting in the making of judgments / decisions relating to liability, causation and quantum
- Dealing with litigated files from the issue of proceedings up to and including trial
- Dealing with all quantum aspects of a PI caseload
Qualifications
- A law degree
- Experience of Part 7 RTA litigation
- Experience of handling causation and LVI disputes
- Self‑motivated and proactive
- Strong organisation and time‑management skills
- Strict adherence to deadlines
- A meticulous and methodical approach to your work
- Excellent business English, required for letter writing and document drafting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
- The ability to empathise and deal professionally with bereaved/injured clients
- Understand the need for regular billing
