An established and growing engineering company is seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator to join its team. This organisation is a leading designer and manufacturer of machinery, automated process solutions, and control systems, supporting industries including food processing, chemical, and water sectors, while delivering high-quality stainless steel fabrication services.

The Role

As a Welder Fabricator, you'll be responsible for producing high-quality stainless steel fabrication work, ensuring precision and consistency. You'll collaborate closely with design and manufacturing teams to deliver projects that meet strict technical and performance standards.

Location: Newtownards

Pay Rate: Depending on experience

Duration: Permanent

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm, overtime available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stainless steel TIG welding, including pipework and argon back purging
  • Fabrication to engineering drawings
  • Manufacturing stainless steel framework and tanks
  • Working independently and as part of a team
  • Site fabrication and installation work
  • Ensuring all welds meet high-quality finishing standards

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • High standard of welding and fabrication work
  • Proven experience with stainless steel fabrication
  • Strong TIG welding ability
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Safe operation of fabrication equipment and power tools
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Desirable (Not Essential):

  • Experience in the food industry
  • Welding certifications (BS EN ISO 9606-1 & 9606-2)
  • Experience with press brake and guillotine
  • Forklift training
  • Food hygiene knowledge
