An established and growing engineering company is seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator to join its team. This organisation is a leading designer and manufacturer of machinery, automated process solutions, and control systems, supporting industries including food processing, chemical, and water sectors, while delivering high-quality stainless steel fabrication services.
The Role
As a Welder Fabricator, you'll be responsible for producing high-quality stainless steel fabrication work, ensuring precision and consistency. You'll collaborate closely with design and manufacturing teams to deliver projects that meet strict technical and performance standards.
Location: Newtownards
Pay Rate: Depending on experience
Duration: Permanent
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm, overtime available
Key Responsibilities:
- Stainless steel TIG welding, including pipework and argon back purging
- Fabrication to engineering drawings
- Manufacturing stainless steel framework and tanks
- Working independently and as part of a team
- Site fabrication and installation work
- Ensuring all welds meet high-quality finishing standards
Essential Skills & Experience:
- High standard of welding and fabrication work
- Proven experience with stainless steel fabrication
- Strong TIG welding ability
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Safe operation of fabrication equipment and power tools
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable (Not Essential):
- Experience in the food industry
- Welding certifications (BS EN ISO 9606-1 & 9606-2)
- Experience with press brake and guillotine
- Forklift training
- Food hygiene knowledge
