Exciting opportunity to work for our new client who is currently recruiting for Full Time Warehouse Operative/ Van Driver to assist with the processing & distribution of orders for their customers based across Northern Ireland. Position: Warehouse Operative/ Van Driver Location: Newtownabbey Duration: Temporary to Permanent Rate of Pay: £12 per hour Overtime: Paid at time and a half after 42 hours Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm Duties will include (but not be limited to): The picking, packing and completion for despatch of all orders Production of Packing Lists using associated computers Checking fellow associates work as above Movement of stock within warehouse Loading of vehicles Unloading of containers when required Manual handling of goods and materials General maintenance of working areas. i.e. sweeping, cleaning, removing litter etc. Inputting of consignment details for UK carriers Strict Adherence to Health and Safety Policy Cover for delivery drivers due to holiday/sickness All other duties as required by the client Person Specification: Good numeracy skills Good interpersonal skills Attention to detail Good Team Player Essential Criteria: Previous experience of working in a warehouse is essential Must hold a Full Clean UK driving licence for at least 5 years for insurance purposes Polite manner as delivering to regular customers. Desirable Criteria: Previous experience working in the motor factors industry Reach forklift licence Previous delivery driving experience ideally.
