Ashton Recruitment require a Support Administrator for our client based in the Duncrue area of Belfast.
Location: Belfast
Duration: Temporary-Permanent
Pay Rate: £14.10 per hour
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday
Our client is a long-established shipping and logistics company providing port agency, terminal, and cargo services across Belfast Harbour. They are looking for a Support Administrator to support the team with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone organised, proactive, and keen to gain experience in logistics.
Key Responsibilities- Support the logistics team by managing inboxes, calls, and general communications
- Assist with organising meetings, booking rooms, arranging travel, and preparing agendas or minutes
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper records in line with company procedures
- Prepare operational reports and summaries under guidance
- Assist with documentation, correspondence, and presentations for management and operations teams
- Act as a point of contact for routine client and agent enquiries
- Provide updates on shipments, port operations, and documentation to internal teams
- Support daily activities of the logistics and agency teams
- Help process shipping and port documentation, including manifests and cargo paperwork
- Maintain shipment, container, and vessel data in internal systems
- Monitor vessel schedules and movements, sharing updates with internal teams as required
- Some administrative experience in a busy office environment
- Good communication skills and confidence dealing with colleagues and customers
- Attention to detail and accuracy when handling data
- Basic IT skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on a variety of tasks
- Positive, team-focused approach
