We are seeking a reliable and experienced Roofer to install, repair, and maintain roofing systems on residential and commercial properties. You will work with a variety of materials including shingles, metal, tile, slate, and flat roofing systems, ensuring high-quality, watertight finishes that meet all safety and building standards.
Role details
- Location: Belfast
- Duration: Temporary to Permanent
- Pay Rate: £17.50 per hour
- Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm (on call once every 8 weeks with additional payments)

Key Responsibilities
- Installing, repairing, and replacing roofing systems
- Inspecting roofs for damage, leaks, and structural issues
- Removing old roofing materials and preparing surfaces
- Measuring, cutting, and fitting materials accurately
- Installing flashing, underlayment, and weatherproofing systems
- Ensuring all work complies with building codes
- Following strict safety procedures and using protective equipment
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and a clean worksite
- Communicating effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and customers
Work Environment
- Outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Physically demanding tasks including lifting, climbing, and standing for long periods
Essential Criteria
- Valid driver's license
- Roofing certification or apprenticeship is a plus
- Proven experience as a Roofer or in a similar construction role
- Knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and tools
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of safety regulations and procedures
