Ashton Recruitment requires a receptionist for our client based in the Belfast city centre area.
Position: Receptionist
Location: Belfast City Centre
Duration: Temporary until 3rd April
Rate of Pay: £12.21
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9-5
Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will need to complete a Basic Access NI.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome clients, candidates, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Manage visitor sign-in processes, including issuing passes and notifying hosts.
- Ensure the reception area and meeting spaces are tidy, presentable, and in line with the client's corporate image.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls and emails.
- Manage meeting room bookings, coordinate catering, and arrange AV/IT support if required.
- Handle incoming and outgoing post, couriers, and deliveries.
- Maintain office supplies and liaise with facilities staff for upkeep.
Essential Criteria:
- Professional communication skills - clear, confident, and polite in person, on the phone, and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills - ability to deal with clients, partners, and colleagues at all levels.
- Organisational ability - able to manage multiple tasks (calls, visitors, room bookings) while maintaining attention to detail.
- IT proficiency - confident using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and office booking/visitor management systems.
- Front of house experience - ideally in a professional services, corporate, or hospitality setting.
- Customer service skills - delivering a first-class experience for clients and visitors.
- Discretion and confidentiality - trusted to handle sensitive information.
