As a Nightshift Assembler, you'll play a vital role in preparing, assembling, and packing fresh produce to customer specifications. Working as part of the night operations team, you'll help ensure orders are completed accurately, safely, and on time for next-day distribution.
Location: West Belfast
Rate of pay: £12.71 per hour + £95.00 monthly attendance bonus
Hours of Work:
- 4 x 10-hour shifts per week
- Between 8pm and 6.30am
- Rolling 3-week rota
- Overtime opportunities available during peak periods
What You'll Be Doing
- Assemble fruit and vegetable products according to production plans and customer requirements.
- Pack products accurately to meet daily production schedules.
- Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet freshness, appearance, and specification standards.
- Remove damaged or sub-standard produce from the production process.
- Label and package products correctly for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic working environment.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and Health & Safety procedures.
- Operate packing and production equipment safely when trained and authorised.
- Assist with stock rotation and minimise product waste.
- Report equipment faults, quality issues, and safety concerns promptly.
- Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth nightshift operations.
- Meet productivity and performance targets while maintaining quality standards.
Essential Requirements
- Ability to work night shifts on a rolling 3-week rota.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to perform effectively in a busy production environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Physically fit and capable of standing for long periods.
- Ability to safely lift and move products in line with manual handling procedures.
- Good communication skills.
- A positive team-player attitude.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience in food production, packing, warehouse, manufacturing, or assembly roles.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
- Experience handling fresh produce.
- Manual handling certification.
- Basic knowledge of quality control procedures.
