Ashton Recruitment require a Stock & Logistics Coordinator for our client based in the Duncrue area of Belfast.

Location: Duncrue, Belfast

Duration: Temporary-Permanent

Pay Rate: £14 - £15 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday

Our client is a long-established shipping and logistics company providing port agency, terminal and cargo services across Belfast Harbour. They are seeking a highly organised Support Administrator to support both administrative and operational functions, with a particular focus on stock coordination, tracking, and control. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced logistics environment and takes pride in accuracy, accountability, and keeping operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the logistics team by managing inboxes, calls, and general communications.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper records in line with company procedures.
  • Prepare operational reports and summaries under guidance.
  • Act as a point of contact for routine client and agent enquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, materials, and cargo movements across the site.
  • Monitor stock levels and reconcile discrepancies to ensure nothing is unaccounted for.
  • Investigate and flag any stock inconsistencies or missing items promptly.
  • Liaise with operational teams to track incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Ensure all stock movements are correctly logged within internal systems.
  • Support audits and stock checks, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
  • Support the daily activities of the logistics team.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous administrative experience within a busy office or logistics environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when handling data, stock, or documentation.
  • Experience or exposure to stock control, inventory tracking, or reconciliation is highly desirable.
  • Good communication skills and confidence dealing with colleagues and customers.
  • Basic IT skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work proactively, identify issues, and follow through to resolution.
  • Positive, team-focused approach with a strong sense of accountability.
