Ashton Recruitment is currently recruiting for an Install Planner on behalf of a well-established client operating within the energy and installation sector in Northern Ireland.

Location: Belfast

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and customer-focused individual with experience in planning, scheduling, logistics, coordination or operational administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily installation activities, managing schedules and priorities, liaising with customers and internal teams, and ensuring planned works progress efficiently. The position combines planning, coordination, administration and customer service and would suit someone who enjoys working in a busy operational environment where priorities can change throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate daily installation schedules, ensuring workloads and resources are allocated effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date schedules, adjusting plans where required to accommodate changing operational priorities.
  • Liaise with customers regarding appointments, planned works and installation schedules.
  • Provide customers with clear and timely updates, ensuring expectations are managed professionally.
  • Coordinate with internal operational teams and relevant stakeholders to ensure scheduled works are completed efficiently.
  • Monitor the progress of planned activities and identify potential delays or issues.
  • Respond quickly to changes in schedules and resolve planning or operational problems to minimise disruption.
  • Handle customer enquiries and concerns professionally and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Complete all associated administration accurately and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Ensure information is communicated effectively between customers, operational teams and other stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple tasks and competing priorities within a fast-paced working environment.
  • Provide a professional and customer-focused service at all times.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within planning, scheduling, logistics, transport, installation coordination or operational administration.
  • Ideally around 2 years' experience within a relevant position.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Previous experience working within a customer-focused environment.
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to deal professionally with customers and internal teams.
  • Strong administration skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to adapt quickly when schedules or operational requirements change.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the confidence to make day-to-day decisions.
  • A proactive approach to work and the ability to use initiative.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using scheduling systems and Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to remain calm and professional within a busy operational environment.
