Customer Service Operative Belfast Full-Time | Permanent | £13.50 per hour/£26,325 per annum

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30am - 5:30pm, Every 3rd Sunday, 1:00pm - 5:30pm (overtime)

Ashton Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading fresh produce and food distribution business based in Belfast for a Customer Service Operative to join their growing team. Supplying the foodservice, wholesale and retail sectors across Northern Ireland, our client has built a strong reputation for quality, service and reliability within the industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

The Role

Working closely with the sales and operations teams, you will play a key role in supporting customers, processing orders and ensuring deliveries and enquiries are handled efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing telephone and email orders accurately
  • Providing support to the sales team
  • Assisting customers with pricing, products and general enquiries
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Acting as a first point of contact for customer queries and deliveries
  • Liaising with warehouse staff to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly
  • Maintaining customer buying platforms, pricing and product information
  • Supporting promotional activity and sales campaigns

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within a customer service or office-based role
  • Strong communication and telephone manner
  • Good IT skills including MS Office and Excel
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working in a busy, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience within foodservice, wholesale or order processing would be advantageous

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30am - 5:30pm, Every 3rd Sunday, 1:00pm - 5:30pm (overtime). Flexibility to cover additional shifts when required.
