Our client is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative with Trade Counter Sales to join our busy team in Duncrue, Belfast. As a Warehouse Operative with Trade Counter Sales, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring goods are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently, while also assisting customers and processing sales orders.
Position Details- Location: Duncrue, Belfast
- Rate: £15.00 per hour
- Hours: Monday - Thursday, 8:00am to 5:00pm | Friday, 8:00am to 2:30pm
- Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
- Offloading and sorting incoming deliveries and goods safely and efficiently
- Receiving stock into the warehouse and checking deliveries for damages and quantity discrepancies
- Storing materials and products within designated racking locations
- Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for dispatch
- Loading vehicles and preparing freight for shipment
- Operating a counterbalance forklift truck safely and carrying out routine equipment checks
- Assisting customers at the trade counter and providing excellent customer service
- Processing sales orders and payments using point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Maintaining accurate stock records and supporting inventory control activities
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and ensuring a safe working environment
- Assisting with general day-to-day duties as directed by management
- Valid Counterbalance forklift licence
- Previous experience working within a warehouse or distribution environment
- Strong computer skills and confidence using point-of-sale systems
- Good literacy, numeracy, and customer service skills
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Flexible approach to work during busy and seasonal periods
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Previous trade counter or sales experience
- Experience using warehouse management systems
- Knowledge of stock control procedures
- Previous experience within a builders' merchants, industrial, or distribution environment
