Our client, a well-established and growing company within the energy efficiency and insulation sector, is seeking an experienced Cavity Wall Surveyor / Insulation Supervisor to join their Northern Ireland team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Cavity Wall Insulation Surveyor, Retrofit Surveyor or experienced Insulation Supervisor looking for a stable Monday to Friday role with consistent hours and strong long-term prospects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out pre-installation and post-installation cavity wall and loft insulation surveys, while also supervising installation teams to ensure quality, compliance and health & safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities- Cavity Wall & Loft Insulation Surveys
- Conduct detailed pre-installation cavity wall insulation surveys
- Assess properties for suitability for cavity wall and loft insulation systems
- Identify risks including damp, ventilation and structural concerns
- Produce accurate survey reports, technical drawings and specifications
- Carry out post-installation inspections to ensure works meet regulatory and certification standards
- Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervise cavity wall insulation installers and site teams
- Ensure high standards of workmanship and compliance
- Provide on-site technical guidance and support
- Monitor installation quality and address any issues promptly
- Promote best practice in insulation and retrofit installations
- Health & Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all survey and installation activities comply with UK health & safety legislation
- Conduct site risk assessments and enforce safe systems of work
- Ensure adherence to scheme rules, governing body standards and certification requirements
- Planning & Operational Delivery
- Manage daily workload across multiple sites throughout Northern Ireland
- Coordinate schedules and product deliveries to meet deadlines
- Maintain accurate documentation and submit reports in a timely manner
- Travel province-wide as required
- Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a professional point of contact for homeowners
- Clearly explain survey findings and installation processes
- Liaise effectively with internal teams and installation crews
- Represent our client in a professional and customer-focused manner
- Proven experience as a Cavity Wall Surveyor, Insulation Surveyor, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of cavity wall insulation systems and retrofit standards
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
- Good understanding of construction health & safety requirements
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties
- Full UK driving licence
- £35,000 salary
