Ashton Recruitment are currently recruiting for Cashiers on behalf of our client based in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation operating within the cash management and security sector. This role would suit candidates with previous cash handling, cashiering, banking, retail, finance administration, or customer service experience who are comfortable handling high volumes of cash accurately and efficiently.

The Role

  • Working within a secure cash processing environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for counting, verifying, and reconciling cash while ensuring all transactions are completed accurately and in line with company procedures.

Duties

  • Counting and processing cash accurately
  • Verifying cash totals and identifying discrepancies
  • Reconciling daily cash balances
  • Recording information using internal systems
  • Following strict cash handling and security procedures
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Working to daily productivity and accuracy targets
  • Supporting the wider operational team as required

Hours of Work

  • Monday - Friday
  • Start times between 8:00am and 9:00am
  • Finish times between 4:00pm and 5:00pm

Pay Rate

  • £13.07 per hour
  • Weekly pay through Ashton Recruitment
  • Opportunity to secure a permanent position with the client following the temporary period

  • Previous cash handling experience is essential

Desirable Criteria

Security & Vetting Requirements

Due to the nature of the role, successful candidates will be required to complete a detailed screening and vetting process prior to employment commencing. This may include:

  • 5-year employment history verification
  • Employment and character references
  • Financial credit check
  • AccessNI criminal record check
