The Director of Operations will provide day-to-day leadership and management of business operations that align with the mission and core values of the Company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and implement business plans and initiatives for the daily operations of the business.
- Manage the profitability and financial growth of the Company and provide financial guidance to senior leaders and project managers.
- Provide timely and accurate reports on the operating conditions of the Company.
- Develop and foster relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, community leaders, and other business partners.
- Provide effective and inspiring leadership by being actively involved with the Company's projects, programs and services, and teams.
- Require the project managers to be accountable for projects within their supervision.
- Maintain continuous lines of communication with the president regarding outstanding issues to minimize risk and financial impact to the Company.
- Ongoing management of Company risk by ensuring that all projects are operating within the Company's policies and procedures.
- Seek growth, diversity, and other financial opportunities for the Company, including but not limited to mergers or acquisitions, expansion of geographic footprint, diversity of product offerings, and collaboration with other companies.
- Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Coach, mentor, and train the management team and direct reports, and assist with professional development.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
- Ensure that the company's safety program is enforced at zero-tolerance on the project sites.
- Ensure that the company's quality control plan is enforced.
- Four (4)- year degree in construction management, business, accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of eight years of progressive discipline in construction management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project-based operations in the construction industry.
- Demonstrated track record of good judgement and the ability to manage risk.
- Ability to balance a strategic vision with hands-on practical experience.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to motivate and direct teams.
- Performance-driven, committed, energetic, and dynamic to drive operational success.
- A successful candidate must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
