Due to restrictions on the number of certificates we can issue at present, candidates without an existing visa or right to work in the UK are unlikely to be suitable for the advertised post. You will be working as part of a close-knit team to improve the daily lives of the people we care for. You will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and staff in our care home. Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces in residents’ rooms and common areas.
  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and tidiness throughout the care home.
  • Manage laundry services, including washing, folding, and distributing linens and residents’ clothing.
  • Ensure all laundry activities adhere to infection control guidelines.
  • Ensure that daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
  • Ensure that all cleaning equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe condition.
  • Monitor and maintain supplies of cleaning and hygiene products.
  • Report any shortages or equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Carry out any other reasonable instructions.
  • Attend and be knowledgeable of all statutory training sessions including Fire, Health and Safety, Moving and Handling and COSHH etc.

This position requires a PVG and two references.
