Ashton Gate Stadium is a unique sports and entertainment business with the core aim of providing integral support services to ensure the sustainability of Stephen Lansdown’s sporting group of companies which includes Bristol Sport, Bristol City, Bristol Bears, Bristol Flyers Basketball and each of their respective community charities.
The Role
We are looking for a Security Manager to join our fantastic team. This role requires you to deliver high security standards at Ashton Gate and the Robins High Performance Centre (RHPC), ensuring it is an elite and safe environment for players, staff and guests.
Responsibilities
- Set and manage the master security schedule for the security teams at the stadium and high-performance centre.
- Coordinate with the Head of Safety & Security and external suppliers across the training ground and stadium to create a seamless elite and safe environment.
- Support the Head of Operations to ensure the match readiness and preparations are adhered too.
- Ensure safety and security practices and processes are embedded in the team, routinely tested, audited and staff are trained to a competent level.
- Ensure that the stadium and RHPC is welcoming to staff and guests.
- Support the property access control systems and match day accreditation process.
- Place the health and safety of our staff and guests above all other considerations and be responsible for security compliance and the stadium and RHPC.
- Support the development and oversight of the organisations counter terrorism risk assessment across all sites.
- Ensure all security measures, exit and entry points are routinely pressure tested.
Experience Required
- Experience with security planning, ideally in an elite sports performance environment.
- Hold relevant security qualifications, NVQ level 3 or 4, CCTV operative, SIA badge.
- A sound knowledge of safety systems, Fire, CCTV, Intruder.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Able to adapt to changing circumstances in fast paced working conditions.
- Demonstrable leadership of complex functions, ensuring teams with different skillsets are aligned to mission and purpose.

Hours: 37.5 hours, 5 out of 7 days. Due to the nature of events, this will included evenings and weekend
Salary: £40,000 per annum
