Ashton Gate Stadium is a unique sports and entertainment business with the core aim of providing integral support services to ensure the sustainability of Stephen Lansdown’s sporting group of companies which includes Bristol Sport, Bristol City, Bristol Bears, Bristol Flyers Basketball and each of their respective community charities.
Key Responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with managers across the business to support on all people-related matters, providing pro‑active and commercially focused advice that supports business objectives.
- Support workforce planning, succession planning and change initiatives.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes across all levels of the organisation.
- Lead formal employee relations cases in line with employment legislation and company practices.
- Deliver key HR initiatives: supporting organisation design including coaching and developing managers, resourcing, retention, talent management, career planning, restructuring, employee engagement and performance management.
- Develop HR policies in line with current legislation and design and implement HR procedures and best practice.
- Design compensation frameworks and ensure manager and staff engagement.
- Support the roll out of HR projects and organisational change programmes to support the HR strategy.
- Assist the People Director with organisational design and business cases as appropriate.
- Working with the People Director to continuously understand and anticipate the need for change, working with key stakeholders to diagnose the underlying issues, build the case for change and support on building relevant frameworks.
- Continually identify opportunities for cost efficiencies without compromising the quality or service levels to the business.
- Advising on discipline and grievance issues including assisting investigations and appeal hearings.
- Analysing and reporting HR information to support key business decision.
- Lead local recruitment strategy for each business area taking into account the needs of that area and workforce planning requirements.
- Drive consistency of approach in attracting, managing and developing talent to support current and future organisational needs.
- Continuously improve the recruitment strategy and sourcing channels ensuring that vacancies are filled cost effectively with high quality candidates.
- Drive internal awareness of job opportunities for development and advancement.
- Manage the apprenticeship programme and learning and development initiatives.
- Mentor and coach the HR team to build departmental knowledge.
Salary: up to £45,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours
Contract: Fixed term for up to 9 months (Maternity Cover)
