Ashton Gate Stadium is a unique sports and entertainment business with the core aim of providing integral support services to ensure the sustainability of Stephen Lansdown’s sporting group of companies which includes Bristol Sport, Bristol City, Bristol Bears, Bristol Flyers Basketball and each of their respective community charities.

Job Purpose

To deliver cross channel marketing campaigns for Bristol Bears and the wider teams of the sporting group. Working collaboratively with the marketing team and other key stakeholders, the role will contribute to driving attendances and revenue growth, using both a creative and data led approach.

Key Responsibilities (KPIs)

  • Lead on Bristol Bears marketing campaigns (Men and Women’s teams) with the support of the Group Head of Marketing & Ticketing
  • Support the wider marketing team across campaigns for Bristol City, Bristol Flyers and Ashton Gate, including product areas such as Season Tickets, Membership, Ticketing, Retail and Hospitality
  • Organise Marketing events such as Season Ticket holder/Member events during the season
  • Help train, develop and manage the Marketing Executive within the team
  • Create post campaigns reports, illustrating channel analysis, ROI statistics, recommendations for future campaigns
  • Work closely with the CRM Executive to plan and deliver the weekly email communication plan
  • Work with external media providers and agencies to activate and manage marketing campaigns i.e. Radio, Outdoor and Digital
  • Play an active role in our in house digital marketing including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Spotify and Google Ads. Working with the Marketing Executives to set up these campaigns, reporting back on results and making recommendations for future improvements
  • Work with the internal design agency to brief in creative briefs and deliver compelling marketing creative campaigns
  • Write and proof read marketing copy for both online and print campaigns
  • General administration of marketing, campaigns, data & CRM
  • Work with the Head of Data, Insights & Retail to provide any data insight for internal requests such as reporting for senior management

  • Extensive experience in Marketing
  • Excellent communicator and experience in managing people
  • Confident and articulate, and ability to collaborate with stakeholders across the business
  • Strong analytical, and reporting experience with a strong eye for detail
  • Experience in driving and delivering cross channel marketing campaigns
