Ashton Gate Stadium is a unique sports and entertainment business with the core aim of providing integral support services to ensure the sustainability of Stephen Lansdown’s sporting group of companies which includes Bristol Sport, Bristol City, Bristol Bears, Bristol Flyers Basketball and each of their respective community charities.

Our Human Resources team are responsible for processing new joiners to the business, supporting them throughout their lifecycle with queries and also supporting when they are leaving the business. Join a team that enjoys really getting stuck into their role and solving queries that come their way. We are looking for someone who is passionate about maintaining HR systems. You will have experience of working in a fast‑paced environment and will have strong administration and communication skills at all levels.

Job Purpose

As a HR Systems & Data Administrator you will support the department in delivering comprehensive HR support and ensuring compliance with employment legislation while providing guidance to managers and employees across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as first line support for HR system queries
  • Administer and maintain the HRIS (UKG) and LMS (DDS, iHasco & GDPR Cybersecurity)
  • Propose and implement continuous system improvements
  • Process starters and leavers, ensuring accurate data entry
  • Create and maintain training materials, process maps and user guides and documentation
  • Prepare and deliver HR systems training sessions, induction, and refresher workshops to staff
  • Ensure all notifications and system tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Work with the HR Team and wider organisation to ensure processes/systems are meeting stakeholder expectations and troubleshoot any technical issues
  • Create and maintain automated HRIS reports
  • Analyse HR/compliance data to provide robust reporting on a variety of metrics to support decision making
  • Conduct regular audits and data cleanses in alignment with GDPR legislation
  • Streamline workflows and drive system efficiencies
  • Support HR projects to drive AI integration and process automation
  • Collaborate with the Communications Team to enhance HR presence through SharePoint and the Ashton Gate/ Bristol Sport website

Essential Skills

  • Relevant HR system experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office Experience (especially in Excel)
  • Experience of providing first line support for system queries
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain processes clearly to end users
  • Ability to problem solve and multi-task
  • Ability to work under pressure and pivot between tasks
  • Highly organised
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for systems and data
  • Ability to work independently and use own initiative

Desirable Skills

  • More than 2 years’ experience working with HR Systems
  • Demonstrable experience in data analytics
  • Demonstrable experience in advanced Excel, using advanced formulas (VLOOKUPS, Index-Match and SUMIFS), Pivot Tables, Power Queries, Macros & VBA, Data Validation and What-If Analysis

Health and Safety

  • Responsible for ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed at all times, with relevant paperwork to support
  • To ensure all employees complete their training required to do their job
  • Report all incidents and accidents as required
  • To report any hazards detected
  • To complete and review the risk assessments for the department

Hours

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary

Up to £30,000 per annum
