Ashtead Technology are looking for an experienced and dedicated Project Manager to support onshore project management of Mechanical Solutions projects specialising in decommissioning of subsea infrastructure through detailed planning and execution management of designated offshore projects.
The role manages projects from contract award through to final close-out, ensuring delivery in accordance with agreed scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer expectations.
Working under the direction of the Head of Projects, the Project Manager provides leadership to assigned project teams, manages customer relationships, drives project performance, and contributes to the continuous improvement of project execution processes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Project Delivery
- Lead offshore decommissioning projects from contract award through to completion, ensuring delivery against agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality objectives.
- Develop project plans, schedules and resource plans, proactively managing risks, performance and change throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the main point of contact for customers, building strong relationships and providing clear communication throughout project delivery.
- Lead project meetings, provide regular progress updates and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
- Financial & Commercial Management
- Manage project budgets, forecasts and commercial performance, ensuring contractual obligations are met and project profitability is maintained.
- Support change management, variation recovery and accurate project reporting.
- Resource & Operational Planning
- Coordinate personnel, equipment, subcontractors and logistics to ensure projects are fully prepared for offshore mobilisation.
- Support the effective utilisation of company assets and resources across the project portfolio.
- Leadership, Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Provide leadership and support to project teams while promoting collaboration, safety and high-quality project delivery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and identifying opportunities to enhance project processes and performance.
What experience you'll bring
- Technical, Contractual or Commercial degree, or relevant industry experience required.
- Demonstrable project management experience in a similar industry and experience indelivering complex, multidisciplinary projects.
- Commercially aware with strong contractual and financial management skills.
- Solid understanding of offshore operations, subsea tooling, and mechanical equipment solutions.
- Proficient in project planning, scheduling, risk management, and project reporting.
- Experience using ERP and project management systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional Project Management qualification (APM, PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent) desirable.
