Our Survey and Robotics team provide cutting edge subsea technology, which is used in mapping the seabed, positioning subsea infrastructure, and conducting subsea inspections. As the underwater technology experts for the global offshore industry, we provide packaged equipment solutions across a range of applications and water depths.

We are looking for candidates who either hold or are working towards an HND or HNC in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or Engineering Systems, OR have experience as an electrician looking to transition into the energy sector.

What will your traineeship look like?
You will start out working within our survey workshops where you will be trained in how to test, maintain, and repair our portfolio of 20,000 subsea assets. Ensuring our assets are maintained in a state of readiness is critical to our success and you will play a key role in delivering equipment to meet our clientsβ requirements.
After developing competencies in the testing of equipment you may get the opportunity to attend vessel mobilisations, providing exposure to how our equipment is configured and deployed from offshore vessels. As part of your career at Ashtead Technology, there may be possibilities to be seconded to any of our overseas offices for periods of time to assist the local teams, broadening your horizons and further developing your skill set. In parallel with these opportunities there is scope to start working offshore to build your capabilities, before potentially becoming established as a full-time offshore survey technician.
