Joining our Asset Integrity team as an Onshore Survey Technician, you will play a hands‑on role in ensuring equipment is delivery-ready and built to perform. You’ll work collaboratively to prepare, test, label, identify, calibrate, and package equipment to the highest safety and quality standards. From carrying out regulated electrical safety testing to maintaining accurate work orders and customer records in our ERP system, your work will directly support safe, reliable operations and customer confidence.
What you'll be doing:
- Inspecting, testing, repairing, and preparing stand‑alone and integrated subsea survey equipment, including bespoke solution packages.
- Commissioning new equipment and assembling bespoke Ashtead Technology products.
- Completing repairs in line with manufacturer standards and regulatory requirements.
- Preparing equipment for hire, ensuring it is fully functional, complete, accurately documented, photographed, labelled, and professionally presented.
- Off‑hiring and testing equipment returned from hire in accordance with workshop procedures and identifying and documenting missing or damaged equipment.
- Carrying out electrical safety testing as required by regulations and ensuring all test and measurement equipment used is within calibration.
- Completing work orders, customer records, and export documentation within the ERP system.
- Travelling offshore or dockside to support client requirements.
- Providing on‑call support as part of a rotational schedule.
What experience you'll bring:
- Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or other technical discipline and/or equivalent industry experience.
- Track record of experience in a Technician or Engineering role undertaking repair, maintenance, assembly and testing of electronic equipment, preferably in a subsea environment.
- Extensive knowledge of subsea equipment.
- Problem‑solving capabilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work offshore and or dockside as and when needed, for example to operate or service equipment on behalf of a client.
- Additional Offshore experience is beneficial.
