Are you a skilled Mechanical Technician with a passion for precision and problem solving? Ready to take your experience to Ashtead Technology’s Thainstone Technology Centre and make an immediate impact? We are looking for an Onshore Mechanical Technician to join our growing team within our Mechanical Solutions division.
What you’ll be doing:
- Servicing, testing and repairing a variety of subsea cutting, dredging, and cleaning equipment
- Reconditioning of offshore equipment to restore performance and reliability after exposure to harsh subsea conditions
- Creatively modifying and adapting tools to deliver tailored solutions that perfectly meet customer needs
- Collaborating closely with engineers to help bring to life equipment that meets real operational needs
- Providing versatile workshop support – including yard operations, forklift duties, fabrication, welding, machining, and electrical tasks, keeping things running smoothly
- Being part of a collaborative and skilled team, working together to achieve high standards and deliver exceptional results
What you’ll bring:
- HNC or above in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience
- Knowledge and understanding of subsea operations in IRM and decommissioning
- Practical experience with Mechanical tools, ideally in relation to subsea cutting, dredging, and cleaning operations with abrasive experience
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a strong, cohesive workshop team, supporting and contributing to a positive and productive work environment
- Willingness to work outside all year round
- Additionally, B1 and B2 forklift tickets are beneficial as well as overhead crane experience.
