Reports to: Business Development Manager

Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm

The Opportunity

To maximize the revenue of Ashridge House, we are currently seeking an experienced B2B Sales Executive to pro‐actively sell into the B2B market – from conferences to teambuilding and corporate events. This is a unique opportunity to manage a client’s entire journey, from sales, account management to onsite delivery working in conjunction with the hospitality teams. This role is target driven and requires a ‘nothing is impossible’ and client centric attitude to exceed targets whilst maintaining the highest level of customer service. Responsibilities Include:

  • Identify clients, contacts and market segments and proactively seek new business
  • Manage and grow client accounts to maximise revenue
  • Target potential clients and agencies and make appointments both on-site and off-site, with the expectation of 5 per week
  • Work effectively as a team to reach and exceed personal and team sales target
  • Secure and attend client visits, networking events, FAM trips and represent Ashridge House at trade shows
  • Maintain strong sales pipeline through call management, lead generation and effective relationship building
  • Develop and deepen relationships with booking agencies and clients to raise the profile of Ashridge House and deliver potential volume clients
  • Prepare accurate and attractive proposals for corporate events
  • Negotiate contractual terms with clients and get sign off to secure business
  • Maximise revenue through upselling – private dining, drinks packages, teambuilding and other Ashridge House related services such as keynote speakers, experiential learning and facilitation
  • Show rounds of the venue for prospective corporate clients

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven track record in pro-active sales and the ability and ambition to identify and convert new sales prospects
  • Thrives and flourishes under pressure in a target driven environment
  • Experience of managing, growing and nurturing large accounts
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Able and willing to work flexible hours
  • Ability to think creatively and look ‘outside of the box’ to generate profitable revenue
  • Excellent telephone sales skills
  • Full driving license and car is essential as travelling will be required as the business demands
