We are seeking multiple Fire Watch Officers to join our team at Ashridge Group. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety of our sites by monitoring fire hazards and maintaining compliance with safety regulations. Your vigilance will contribute significantly to our mission of safeguarding our clients' properties.

The Role of an Ashridge Waking Watch Warden:

Put in place as a direct response to the tragic events at Grenfell Tower in 2017, Waking Watch is a fire safety measure for similar types of buildings. Our Waking Watch teams are highly skilled and qualified to ensure buildings are safe and secure; we provide this service for both residential and commercial buildings.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular fire watch patrols to identify potential hazards.
  • Monitor designated areas for fire risks and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Report any incidents or concerns immediately to the appropriate personnel and evacuate residents.
  • Assist in the implementation of fire prevention measures and safety training.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and incidents as required.
  • Collaborate with other team members to promote a culture of safety on-site.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a fire watch or safety-related role is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify risks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of fire safety regulations is an advantage.
  • First AID Certificate.

  • Fire Extinguisher Use – Certified
  • Fire Marshal Training – Certified
  • Fire Safety Awareness – Certified
  • First Aid at Work
  • Health and Safety in the Workplace Level 2 (VTQ)
  • Mental Health in the Workplace Level 2 (VTQ)
  • Lone working – Certified
  • Safeguarding of Children (Child Protection) Level 2 (VTQ)
  • Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (SOVA) Level 2 (VTQ)

Location: East London, Postcode: E1 6ED

Hours: All shifts are 12 hours, 06:00 – 18:00 Day shift, 18:00 – 06:00 Night Shift

Shift Pattern: 6 on 3 off, (3 day shifts, 3 night shifts, 3 off)
