Receptionist
This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our venue, providing exceptional service to clients, guests, and colleagues alike. The receptionist role will support various aspects of Ashorne hill, from event coordination to customer service, contributing to creating experiences that nurture and inspire in a natural setting, handling guest complaints and queries efficiently.
Duties Include:
Efficient Guest Services:
Provide an efficient and effective arrival and check-out service to all guests, visitors, and staff at Reception, ensure excellent customer service is received by all guests and clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive experience for everyone visiting the venue.
Assist in promoting and driving sales of all offerings available at Ashorne Hill, including meeting rooms, tuck shop items, bed and breakfast accommodations, and catering services.
Answer telephones promptly and reroute calls effectively to colleagues, providing a friendly and efficient service to customers and other stakeholders.
Follow processes and procedures outlined in the operations manual meticulously. Maintain accuracy and consistency in handling processes such as cash management, messaging, and other tasks while keeping the reception and all FOH areas orderly.
Customer support.
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the venue, including setup, meet and greeting of clients, lunch time service and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring all equipment is in working order, and promptly reporting any maintenance issues to the appropriate channels.
Support the Duty manager with the setup, breakdown & regular maintenance of the outdoor furniture and spaces.
Serve as the designated duty receptionist in the event of a fire evacuation and also as a trained First Aider, prioritising the safety and well-being of both customers and staff.
Experience or Skills required:
- Previous experience in hospitality, event running, or customer service.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organisational abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Desirable: Previous use of Kinetics, Ving card, is preferred however not essential.
