Ashmore Surveyors are an Independent Firm of Chartered Surveyors and Valuers who would very much like to recruit this sort of person.
We do Surveys and Valuations of Residential and Commercial properties. We think we do them really well. People seem to like our approach. We do other things as well but mostly that\’s it.
We are ideally looking to hire an experienced Building Surveyor who will be MRICS or FRICS with common sense, personable and friendly and not a ‘stuffed shirt’. We are looking to expand the services we provide and are therefore looking for a Chartered Building Surveyor, however, we will not rule out Applications from suitable Applicants who are General Practice or Residential Surveyors.
You will have an ability to take a pragmatic and proportionate view when giving advice, have experience and a desire to earn a decent salary, in an environment which is relaxed but professional, and where you will be valued and enjoy your working environment. A part-time role will also be considered for those looking for a better work/life balance.
Ashmore Surveyors are Nuneaton based and cover the Midlands generally. Somebody therefore living within a reasonable radius of Nuneaton may find servicing work easier.
About You
The ideal candidate will need to be flexible and able to produce high quality reports promptly, and be a ‘people person’, who can engage with Clients and fellow Professionals in a friendly and thoughtful manner.
The successful candidate should possess the following:
– MRICS or FRICS Qualification
– VRS registration is preferred but not essential
– Local property knowledge, primarily Coventry and Warwickshire, but also the West and East Midlands in general
– Good literacy skills and experience of freestyle report writing (not based upon standard phrases)
– Confidence using basic technology
– Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle
About the Role
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
– Inspect a wide range of Residential properties, and some Commercial Properties when required
– Produce Level 1- 3 equivalent Surveys for Private Clients using Ashmore Surveyors’ own bespoke Survey Report
– Produce Individual Defect Reports that comply with Lender Requirements
Salary/Hours
Full-time, part-time, and flexible working arrangements will all be considered. Consideration will also be given to those needing flexible hours for ‘working Parents’ and part-time working/semi-retired.
Salary £50,000 – £60,000 a year (Pro-Rata), depending on experience and working hours.
