As a Maintenance Assistant at Ashlynn Grange Care Home, you will be responsible for ensuring all checks are complete and a safe environment for residents, team members and visitors whilst maintaining a high quality of service within the home. Ashlynn Grange is an exceptional 153‑bed care home in Peterborough.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the decoration of the home is to the highest standard and deal with snagging items in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all minor repairs and plumbing are fixed within a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the refuse area and the removal of clinical waste and rubbish from the home.
  • Ensure all electrical equipment and the boiler house are maintained and repaired if required.
  • Overall responsibility for conducting weekly, monthly and annual tests of the equipment and systems within the home.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Operative to manage and ensure a safe and pleasant environment for all residents and employees.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar maintenance role is essential.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Excellent written, non-verbal and verbal communication skills.
