As an Activities Coordinator at Ashlynn Grange Care Home, you will support the provision of meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities planned throughout the home, ensuring residents experience memorable moments.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of a meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities programme based on person‑centred care principles that involves and includes all residents.
- Champion person‑centred care with all team members to empower residents to make or continue making lifestyle choices relevant to them.
- Actively engage with residents through conversation and meaningful occupation related to their lifestyle choices, at a level and pace that values the individual and respects their dignity and communication differences.
- Organise and schedule programmes of events or activities, ideally within a healthcare environment.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, with a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of residents.
- Knowledge of dementia is highly advantageous.
- Proven track record for leading, empowering, supporting & motivating a team.
