As an Assistant Chef at Ashlynn Grange Care Home, you will be responsible for ensuring a high quality of food service and meal preparation within the home. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will support the team by ensuring the catering services and residential dining experience is of the highest standard and quality.
Ashlynn Grange is a 153‑bed care home in Peterborough, known for its beautiful gardens and a full programme of activities and live performances on our outdoor stage. Our newly refurbished café serves fresh tea, coffee and cakes daily for residents and visitors.
Responsibilities- Provide a high‑quality dining experience, promoting choice and dignity to residents.
- Liaise with residents to ensure they are happy with the food and beverages delivered.
- Ensure the nutritional content of meals meets the dietary needs of all residents.
- Assist the Head Chef with regulatory and statutory requirements, ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.
- Minimum of two years catering experience within a kitchen environment.
- NVQ Level 3 in Food Hygiene.
- Exposure to working within a care environment is highly advantageous.
